The Journey
Your voice matters. Creativity is how you share who you are with the world.
Expressing yourself means finding and using your voice — through art, writing, music, movement, conversation, or any medium that feels authentic to you. It is not about being the best; it is about being real. When young people practice expressing themselves, they build confidence, process emotions, and connect with others in meaningful ways.
The challenge: Social media rewards performance over authenticity. Kids learn to curate a version of themselves instead of expressing who they really are — and lose their true voice in the process.
Write for 10 minutes without stopping. Do not edit, do not judge. Just let whatever wants to come out, come out.
Pick something you have never done — painting, poetry, dance, song. Give yourself permission to be bad at it.
Tell someone a story about something you care about. Practice speaking your truth, even if your voice shakes.
Take 10 photos of things that represent who you are right now. What would someone learn about you?
